A Barge To Avalon

And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Stretch out thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.'

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all the night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt; very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

For they covered the face of the whole earth ... Shemot 10:12-15

I had an awful dream this morning.

The time seemed of the past, like in the Nazi era. I was the teenage daughter of a Jewish couple. The Nazis were rounding up all the Jews, my family included. My family was caught. We were brought together into a group of many families who had been caught.

We were all lined up and bound upon gurneys in a row. The Nazis stretched out their arms and extended to each one bound to a gurney a black rod made of locusty-like bugs (reminds me of the machine-like bug in the movie Matrix). They were injecting each one of our bodies (in the right groin area) the line of bugs on the black rod. The bugs would eat us like a black plague from the inside out. After injection, each person would be released, because once injected, death was certain. The person's body would be beset with the black bug plaque and deteriorate from the inside out.

One of the Nazis separated me from the rest of the group because I was beautiful. They would use me until I grew older. When I was no longer of any use, then I would meet the same fate as those on the gurneys.

Later, when it came my time to be injected, when I was no longer an innocent teenager, but a danger to them, they brought me back into the room to be injected. I was injected. My still beautiful face began to turn the bluish grey color of death and started to decay. My whole face was covered with the plague.

I woke up.

THIS WILL JUST NOT DO AT ALL. I reject this dream in it's obvious meaning and outcome.

The magical Hebrew word for locust is ארבה.

I change ארבה into the same word, only now it is Aramaic. And now, it means barge - like the barge to the safety of Avalon, the Mystical Isle of Goddess.

While the Lord's Moses may have been a bringer of deathly plague, and the Nazis likewise were bringers of a deathly plague, I have transformed the plagues into a safe passage to Avalon, the Land where there is no death. It's my barge and I'll laugh if I want to.

(Also, when I woke up this morning, I had a waking vision of mighty angelic feet like radiant steel land standing upon the earth. I felt the Presence of defense and protection for me. The angel's name is Michael. The name was called out and reverberated in my mind as it's landing shook the whole earth.

Pharaoh Says

And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt ... Shemot 7:3

There is a long standing ambiguity in Judaic tradition as to why the Lord found it necessary to interfere with Pharaoh's free will by "hardening" Pharaoh's heart. I'll tell you why the Lord played mind games with Pharaoh - because the Lord needed to do it to magnify His signs and wonders. You see, without Pharaoh's participation in this manner, the Lord's signs and wonders were impotent. The Divine Magician's magic fell flat without Pharaoh. Pharaoh Herself powered the Lord's magic.

Let's play. My way.

Shabbat shalom.
